Briana & Kevin | Fall Terry Bison Ranch Wedding | Wyoming Wedding Photographer
After Briana and Kevin’s bowling alley shoot, one of the most entertaining and fun engagement sessions I’ve ever photographed, I was beyond excited to join the couple in Cheyenne to capture their wedding at Terry Bison Ranch. Right from the start, Kevin’s emotional response to seeing Briana in her wedding gown told me I would need to stay on my toes as the day was bound to be full of special moments. First Looks like these are my most favorite.
The bride and groom chose the ranch in Cheyenne for its resort-style atmosphere. There were farm animals, a general store, train rides, and several other activities. It made sense that the couple chose a venue with plenty of entertainment for all ages. It was clear that Briana loved Kevin’s boys as if they were her own and it was endearing to watch the four of them become a family. (I love Connor’s face in this photo – OMG – Kissing!)
The day was absolutely gorgeous. Every bride’s dream, right? Sure! But every photographer’s dream? Not so much. Being a flat state with little shade or coverage, I soon found that Wyoming presented quite a challenge when it came to finding hospitable areas to shoot. Thankfully (like an oasis in the desert) we found a small cove of trees and got some beautiful shots of the bride and groom post-ceremony. These are some of my favorite photos because they illustrate the refuge and quiet of the moments between ceremony and reception.
As with most weddings, the peace would not last long, however. True to form, Kevin and Briana’s reception was a rolicking good time. There was never a dull moment (which I love, since it always results in lots of amazing, hilarious, action-packed photos). The couple’s family and friends danced the night away, celebrating the official knot-tying of this fun-loving duo.
