Meet the Hatch Family. RJ, Ben and Hollie are the cutest little family and we had a lot of fun spending time at Barr Lake State Park for their family photo shoot. We are very lucky in Colorado with the weather and even though it was a little chilly outside, the weather was pretty nice for a December family photo shoot.
Barr Lake State Park is located just east of Brighton and is a great place for fishing and boating enthusiasts. There’s also a nice boardwalk and trails to walk while observing all of the great wildlife. The park even has a Nature Center where you can learn about the park’s wildlife and get questions answered by a naturalist. It makes a great location for a family photo shoot that’s not too far from the city.
The family photo shoot started off near the lake where there are some great views of the water and the mountains. I got several great pictures of both Ben and Hollie together before bringing in dad. We then moved over the to boardwalk area to take a few more family pictures. Ben was really happy to play dinosaur and even made some big “RAWR” noises for me, which definitely showed off his little personality. Hollie was a little more reluctant to play at first since she is the shy one but she seemed to open up as we moved along through the shoot. Check out the rest of this cute families photo below.
