For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for art. Drawing especially has always been a big part of my life. I always had a sketch book and was always doodling and drawing comics. I always knew some form of art would be turned in to a career somehow.
In high school, I probably took every single art class that my high school had to offer and this is also where I took my first photography class. This is where I learned how to roll my own film canisters, learned basic composition and lighting, and even how to develop my own photos in a dark room. All before the magic of DSLR’s. However, at that time I hadn’t decided if photography was going to be my career path.
After high school, I attended the Art Institute of Colorado where I received my Bachelor’s of Arts in Interactive Media & Web Design. For the past 10 years, I’ve spent my days designing and building websites for healthcare and government institutions, and small businesses.
As a lifelong artist though, I am always searching for ways to learn new creative outlets. This led me back to photography. I was always taking tons of pictures on my point-and-shoot or my camera phone. I had a passion for it and finally purchased my first DSLR a few years ago. I’ve been trying to shoot everything ever since and have been loving every minute of it. I love the people I meet. I love the places I get to go. And most importantly, I love creating amazing images for the people that I have the privilege of shooting.
Whether it’s newborns, seniors, families or weddings, my goal is to capture the “real” you and the moments that will always be remembered. So please take a look around, get to know my style, then give me shout if you would like to sit down to chat over some coffee. I look forward to meeting you.
